Hello room 17 families,  This week in math we have been learning about factors and multiples, and prime and composite numbers. Today we played the math game 'SALUTE' to practice our skills.  In writing, we have been creating non-fiction writing. Grade 5s did a mini research project on a chosen type of precipitation to connect with weather; Grade 6s did a mini research project on a chosen constellation to connect with sky science. They created plans to answer questions and then wrote out paragraphs. They also included non-fiction text features such as labelled diagrams, maps and glossaries to make their writing more interesting and easily understood.  In social studies, students have been learning about each person's biography subject. Grade 6s have also begun learning about the Iroquois, or Haudenosaunee peoples.

Gymnastics- 'Head to toe- ready to go'
